The Portland Trail Blazers had to settle for a near-perfect December. The Blazers’ 13-game winning streak ended Monday night with a 111-101 loss to the Utah Jazz, Portland’s first defeat since Dec. 2.

LaMarcus Aldridge, the Blazers’ leading scorer and rebounder, probably will not play Monday when the Blazers host the New Orleans Hornets at the Rose Garden. Aldridge, who has missed the past four games with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, said last week that he hoped to return in time to play the Hornets.
